Finding the right material for the Dyson Cinetic^™ tips was one of the biggest challenges our engineers faced. They spent over three years developing the tips and investigated numerous options in prototypes – even blackcurrant jelly. The material needed to be flexible enough to allow the tips to oscillate at the frequency required to ensure they are always moving. This precise oscillation is what ensures they don't clog and the separation is our most efficient yet.

Our engineers tested a myriad of materials and compound mixes. Dyson's large acoustics research team is constantly working to improve sound quality, like tone and frequency, as well as absolute sound levels. Engineers have worked on the machine to minimize the sound and vibration of high speed dirt:

Dyson Cinetic Big Ball has a bin capacity of 0.57 gallons of dust and dirt. It is made from a strong polycarbonate and is clear so you can see when it needs emptying.

Emptying the bin of a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. The push of a button allows the user to hold the bin at arm's length and release the dust from the bottom of the unit into the waste bin, minimizing contact with dust.

The post motor filter is designed to capture the microscopic particles of carbon produced by the brushes in the motor when in use. The filter captures these ensuring that they are not expelled back into the room.

To receive a refund from Dyson, please follow these three steps:

1. Contact us via email or phone to initiate your return and to identify the correct return shipping address and method.
2. Package the item(s) to be returned in the original Dyson packaging.
3. Bring your returned item(s) to The UPS Store nearest you within 30 days of purchase. Unauthorized or COD returns will not be accepted.

If you do not have the original packaging, please bring your machine to The UPS Store to be packaged there. You will be responsible for any packaging costs. Please allow 4-8 weeks for return processing.
